On Wednesday, August 17, PSA Breakbulk handled a reactor for the (petro)chemical industry weighing an impressive 552 tons!

The heavy-lift piece arrived via the barge Cuarto, chartered by our partner Haeger & Schmidt Logistics. The pontoon crane Brabo unloaded the heavy-lift onto SMPTs provided by our partner Felbermayr. This allowed the reactor to be rotated 90 degrees in preparation for its later shipment aboard a heavy lift carrier. A fine example of teamwork with our partners Felbermayr and Haeger & Schmidt Logistics.

Fun fact: the shackles (see photos below) used during the operation each weighed 590 kg.
